Helen Boaden is the former Director of News at the BBC. She led a team of 8000 journalists at home and abroad and has won several major awards for her radio journalism. She was also Director of Radio at the BBC and under her leadership, Radio 4 was named Sony Station of the Year for two consecutive years. In addition, Helen is a member of the Advisory Board for the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University and she has some valuable views on how large public sector organisations like the BBC and the NHS can best promote and protect their reputations.
